The Mayor of Seville, José Luis Sanz, has held a working meeting with the CEO of Endesa, José Bogas, at the Company's headquarters in Madrid.
In this regard, the Mayor of Seville said that "during the meeting we reviewed the strong ties that the company has with the city of Seville, where it has been present for almost 130 years and has more than a thousand employees".
Thus, José Luis Sanz, said that "in the meeting the future challenges of the company in the city have been raised, where the CEO has highlighted the commitment that Endesa has with Seville, where the company has its regional headquarters, in addition to the national centers of billing and remote management, which serve nearly eleven million customers, as well as the telecommunications center that has been a key piece for the digitization of power generation, electricity distribution, customer service and value-added services".
For his part, José Bogas emphasized that "Endesa's commitment to accelerate the energy transition of the metropolis and contribute to the development of a sustainable urban model through the installation of renewable energy, such as the Torrepalma solar plant, the installation of 108 electric vehicle charging points".
In addition, the CEO of Endesa stressed that "we have agreed to continue promoting two pioneering projects at national level such as the 'Green Port of Seville' or 'eCitySevilla', two projects that are an example of public-private partnership initiative, led by the City Council, the Andalusian Government and the PCT Cartuja. This initiative is helping to position Seville as an international benchmark in energy transition. At the same time, it is acting as a driving force for new innovation projects".
Finally, Bogas pointed out that "Endesa has shown the Mayor of Seville that the company intends to continue to support Seville as an ideal environment for the implementation of new technological and sustainability projects that will help the city to strengthen its strategic positioning".
