The mayor of Seville, José Luis Sanz heads this week with a delegation, a business and trade mission in the Chinese cities of Shanghai and Chongqing.

In this regard, the Mayor of Seville has held meetings with three large local technology companies in the automotive sector with high technological component that are installed in the Chinese city of Chongqing, a city with which Seville has signed a twinning in the last hours. These companies have already shown interest in knowing the benefits and competitive advantages of Seville as an ideal location to establish headquarters.

Along with the Mayor of Seville, José Luis Sanz, the delegate of Finance, Tourism, Citizen Participation and Digital Transformation, Juan Bueno and the director of the municipal office for attracting investment; Sevilla Open for Business, Manuel Parejo were present.

In this regard, the mayor said that "during the various meetings, we have offered these important companies in the automotive sector, both the possible installation of a factory, commercial headquarters or to establish some of its research centers in Seville, as it is a perfect city for the entry of companies in Europe and the West and we have made them know the competitive advantages of Seville and aid from Seville Open for Business can receive".

Likewise, José Luis Sanz together with the delegation of the City Council of Seville, has met with the company Changan Automobile and has stated that "it is one of the four largest automotive groups in China, which currently have about 6000 sales facilities in more than 60 countries and employ about 150,000 professionals worldwide, with sales of 8,500 vehicles per day. For our part, we have shared Seville's experience with the Renault factory and we have told them of the great advantages they would have if they set up a factory or R&D research center in our city".

Similarly, Mayor Sanz met with the China Automotive Engineering Research Institute and said that "it is a powerful public provider of technical services for the automotive industry, which has developed more than 300 vehicle models, more than 30 types of engines, more than 100 types of component assemblies and more than 70 new materials and processes for the automotive industry".

In addition, Sanz added that "the Automotive Engineering Research Institute has helped Chinese government departments to organize the introduction and localization of the main vehicle technologies from France, Austria and Japan, and the Seville City Council has offered our city for the introduction of the vehicle technologies they are working on in Spain, as has already been done in other parts of the world".

Finally, the mayor of Seville and his delegation have held a meeting with the company Landai Technology Group, and has reported that "the main business of this portentous company is the manufacture of touch screens and sale of power transmission assemblies with customers as well known as they are; Amazon, Lenovo and Make.
