The Seville City Council welcomes the mayor of Kansas City on an institutional and business mission focused on strategic sectors such as the biosciences, technological innovation, agribusiness, and advanced manufacturing

The mayor of Seville welcomed Quinton Lucas, the mayor of Kansas City, to City Hall as part of an institutional and business mission aimed at strengthening economic ties between the two cities and exploring new avenues for collaboration in strategic sectors.

During the meeting, participants discussed opportunities for cooperation in fields such as the biosciences, technological innovation, agribusiness, and advanced manufacturing—areas in which Seville and Kansas City share common interests and offer significant synergies for the development of joint projects and the promotion of new investment opportunities.

The itinerary for this visit also included a meeting with the Seville Chamber of Commerce, with the aim of introducing the mayor of Kansas City to the local business community and fostering the exchange of knowledge and contacts between the two business communities.

The delegation also visited Sevilla Tech Park, one of the city’s leading technology hubs, where it met with the park’s director and Daniel Escacena, Secretary General for Innovation of the Regional Government of Andalusia. This visit provided a firsthand look at Seville’s capacity to host entrepreneurial and innovative initiatives in high-value-added sectors.

Sevilla Open for Business has participated in various institutional meetings and visits, reinforcing its role as a tool of the Seville City Council to support investment attraction, facilitate strategic connections, and promote the city’s economic strengths internationally.
